i think its now time to listen ....to yourself to others and try to mediate instead of taking swords to the streets in the name of nationality (and while ur at it make a few buks by selling drugs). the whole notion of reformism has been soiled by personal agendas and private ambitions. one way of correcting this could be better accountability. to your self first again ,to ur actions, and how you behave in public i think the best set preceedent to this is gandhi . he showed by example and we can see how easyly such a clean notio could be muddled up to bring about such an ugly reality (war between indi and pakistan). I bevive steps toards reformity should be taken carefully and effectively. occational rallies to support a cuse is ofcouse nessesary. beeter education (since that avenue in maldives is not always easy ) use common sense might be a good way to go about it. i once read in time magazine " south east ashia is lead by personallities not policies" i think this is one of our worst weaknesses. we need plans and proposals from our leaders ( both opposition and government) and accountability towards it and see people being punished if not penalised for not meeting such goals. independant review of things is another nescessary element in listening , since natuarry one cannot be a judge and the jurer....anyways these are some thought that id like to see come into to life yet in our beatiful nation of atolls
