First Aid for Fainting

Fainting is a brief loss of consciousness. Someone who faints may pass out for several seconds or up to ´ hour.

There are many reasons people faint. Medical reasons include:

  • Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) which is common in early pregnancy.
  • Anemia.
  • Any condition in which there is a rapid loss of blood. This can be from internal bleeding such as with a peptic ulcer or a tubule a pregnancy or ruptured ovarian cyst in females.
  • Heart and circulatory problems such as abnormal heart rhythm, heart attack or stroke.
  • Heat stroke or heat exhaustion
  • Eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia.
  • Toxic shock syndrome.

Other things that can lead to feeling faint or fainting include:

  • A sudden change in body position like standing up too quickly (postural hypotension).
  • Extreme pain.
  • Any procedure in women that stretches the cervix such as having an IUD inserted, especially in women who have never been pregnant.
  • Sudden emotional stress or fright.
  • Anxiety
  • Taking some prescription medicines. Examples are: some that lower high blood pressure, tranquilizers, antidepressants, or even some over-the-counter medicines when taken in excessive amounts.

Know, also, that the risk for fainting increases if you are in hot, humid weather, are in a stuffy room or have consumed excessive amounts of alcohol.

Just before fainting, a person may:

  • Feel a sense of dread
  • Feel dizzy
  • See spots before his or her eyes
  • Have nausea

Here are some dos and don'ts to remember if someone is about to faint or faints:

Dos:

  • Catch the person before he or she falls.
  • Have the person lie down with the head below the level of the heart. Raise the legs 8 to 12 inches. This promotes blood flow to the brain. If a victim who is about to faint can lie down right away, he or she may not lose consciousness.
  • Turn the victim's head to the side so the tongue doesn't fall back into the throat.
  • Loosen any tight clothing.

  • Apply moist towels to the person's face and neck.
  • Keep the victim warm, especially if the surroundings are chilly.

Don'ts:

  • Don't slap or shake anyone who's just fainted.
  • Don't try to give the person anything to eat or drink, not even water, until they are fully conscious.

Don't allow the person who's fainted to get up until the sense of physical weakness passes. Then be watchful for a few minutes to be sure he or she doesn't faint again.

 THE FALLEN LEAF;

Tears oozed with intractable pleasure, making squawking slight mourning with bliss and glaring with those dazzling killer look to be leftover. The young blood jerked once again for the touch of those hand(s), which forced its body for craving and cuddling rapidly. Kinky unusual burning desire filled its body with everlasting pleasure making the teen slim body to dance rhythmically; the elated numbness has been dispirited as the fear was taken away with desire. The murmuring dulcet tones were welcoming and inviting.

The pain was unbearably wonderful for the obvious reason; was enjoying every second of this new mature-hood of, new experience with enormous fear and happiness. Hands tied to both corners in bed and eyes closed as those hand(s) were working on, giving sudden shakes of flock of waves in quick shots with gigantic desire overflowing with lust and amorous. Lips murmuring with sound for plead for more and face filling with crumple lines.

He recalled the day when it growled in the first time,Eyes staring sharply at the entrance of the room while lying on his tummy. He felt it again the growing has started as he realized another day has taken path again. But scared why it is happening to him? Is it a disease? Is it unusual? Why does he feel this now and specially in the morning rush hours? However, it feels real good clearly. Slightly and lightly he resumed to rub his hip on the mattress, the newly born feeling wasn’t so bad since its giving him waves of shocks unexpectedly. Want to enjoy the new experience, to feel it always. The hardness was fully strong and about to blast when he fished his hands inside his pants and started to stroke and pull his teeny weenie rod. His own touch felt good and kept playing with himself for minutes when someone entered the room”

HE heard his own dulcet teen voice asking and wanting more. He started to stare ,,,…………… to be continued ; if  ONLY you guys are interested  ;-)

 The latest word on dizziness

Common Syndromes A brief description of the most common dizziness syndromes.
(Symptoms may vary in individual cases.)
"Dizziness" is a general term, and in usage can mean either vertigo or faintness (incomplete passing out). Vertigo has been defined as an illusion of movement. This illusion can be a sensation of rotation, linear movement or tilt. Faintness, on the other hand, involves at least a partial loss of consciousness.True vertigo is frequently accompanied by symptoms of "imbalance" and/or "nausea" (giddiness), the sensation we get on carnival rides. Vertigo is due to a recent insult to the balance system, usually occurring in the inner ear. Faintness is usually of central vascular origin (inadequate blood supply to the brain), as occurs to the person standing for a prolonged time on a hot day. Thus, most dizziness is vertigo, and most vertigo originates in the inner ear. At least 90% of vertigo is caused by one of the following four common dizziness syndromes (combinations of signs and symptoms) caused by malfunction of the inner ear.

1 January, 19701 January, 1970 Add comment1 comments Prophet Muhammadh (SAW) Prophet Muhammadh (SAW)
The Year of his Noble Birth:

According to the most correct opinion of the scholars, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam (SAWS) was born in the city of Makkah in the year of the Elephant (in the year 570 or 571CE), in the month of Rabee'ul-Awwal.

The Day of his Birth:

There is an agreement amongst the Scholars that the Prophet (SAWS) was born on a Monday, since he (SAWS) was asked about fasting on a Monday, and he said: "On that day I was born and on that day Revelation descended upon me." (Related by Muslim and Ahmad)

However, as regards the exact date of his birth, then the scholars have differed about this. Dispite the common belief amongs people that he (SAWS) was born on the 12th of Rabee'ul-Awwal, yet the only substantiated fact regarding this date is that it is his (SAWS) death date .

Imaam an-Nawawee (d.676H) - rahimahullaah- said: "There is on agreement that he was born on Monday in the month of Rabee'ul-Awwal. There is a difference of opinion whether this day was the 2nd, 8th, 10th or 12th day of the month - and these are the four most well-known opinions concerning this." 3

Events at the Time of his Birth:

Certain miraculous events are reported to have occurred at the time that the Prophet (SAWS) was born. However, most of them are not authentically related, rather they are da'eef (weak) or mawdoo' (fabricated) and therefore cannot be relied upon as decisive proof; such as the narration which relates that some of the galleries of Kisraa's (the Persian King's) palace broke-up and collapsed, that the sacred-fire of the Magians died-out and that some of the churches on Lake Saawah (in Syria) collapsed and sank down. (Related by adh-Dhahabee who said: munkar ghareeb (rejected))

However, it is authentically related that the Prophet (SAWS) said. "I am a result of the supplication of my father Ibraaheem and the glad-tidings brought by 'Eesaa 'alayhimus salaam. And my mother - when she bore me - saw that a light shone out from her, which lit up the palaces in Syria ... " (Related by al-Haakim and Ibn Katheer said: "Its isnaad is good and strong.)

Ok, so he may not surprise you with roses, but how about those days he walks the dogs so you can sleep in or the fact he suffers through your romantic comedies when he's dying to see people run away from a chainsaw-wielding maniac?

Please Stop: Setting Him Up for Failure
You've been eating a little more pie and haven't seen the gym in months. Your pants are significantly more snug, but you refuse to believe you have gained the 15 pounds the scale claims you have. So you decide to ask your guy the question that makes the ears of all men bleed… "Babe, do I look fat?"

What He Wants: To Get Out of the Line of Fire
Let's deconstruct this for a second. You know you have gained weight, screwed up at work or should not have cut those bangs at home, but you don't want to face it -- so you expect your mate to boost your confidence by lying to you or running the risk of being called an inconsiderate jerk? This is hardly a healthy relationship habit!
What He Wants: You to Accept Him for Who He Is
You really like your guy, but his style, haircut and/or Star Wars obsession makes you cringe. He's a really nice guy, so you keep dating him with the intention of "tweaking him to perfection" once he agrees to go exclusive.

Please Stop: Trying to Change Him
While it's normal for partners to influence one another, telling your guy to let go of ideas, opinions or the things he enjoys or cares about is controlling and disrespectful. If he tells you he's a football fanatic while dating, don't pout when he doesn't want to do brunch on Sundays two years later.
Please Stop: Wearing So Much Green
A pretty saleslady tries to help him at the store and you accuse him of wanting to sleep with her. His best female friend calls him late at night and you wonder if they are having an affair. He's so scared of your outbursts that he feels he can't look anywhere but down when you're out together!

What He Wants: You to Trust Him
While a little jealousy can keep a relationship fresh, there is nothing that can ruin a good time faster than a cold plate of distrust. Unless your guy is doing something to make you feel insecure or disrespected, cut him a little slack.

Please Stop: Analyzing Everything
We gals spend our Sunday brunches trying to figure out what he means, what he's thinking and how to respond. Here are the answers: Exactly what he said, work/sports/that funny YouTube video and honestly.

What He Wants: Take Him at Face Value
I know you won't believe me, but men are pretty straightforward creatures. Ever hear two men arguing and one of them saying, "What did you mean by that?" Yeah, didn't think so.
Please Stop: Expecting Him to Always Make the First Move, Plans, etc.
You lie in bed waiting for him to put the moves on and get ticked when Friday rolls around and he's made no plans.

What He Wants: You to Take the Initiative
Welcome to 2008, ladies. We can not only manage corporations and run for president, we can (gasp!) make dinner reservations, too! While the damsel role can be fun, the truth is, men love women who know what they want and are not afraid to go after it. They also love knowing that a woman cares enough about them to make the effort and pull out all of the stops for a change.
Please Stop: Making Him Choose Between You and His Friends
He's Mr. Wonderful when he's out with you, but get him around his old friend Jason and he's lighting his farts and playing beer pong in 30 seconds flat! Why does he hang out with such a loser? He's such a bad influence...

What He Wants: You to Respect His Relationships
You'd be hard-pressed to find a woman on the planet who likes every one of her partner's friends, but that's not the point. The fact is your guy is an individual who obviously feels a connection and bond with the people he has chosen to have in his life -- in addition to the one he has with you -- and just like those people need to respect your role, you need to respect theirs.

A successful Business man was growing old and knew it was time
to choose a successor to take over the business.

Instead of choosing one of his directors or his children, he decided to
do something different. He called all the young executives in his
company together.

He said, "It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO. I have
decided to choose one of you. "The young executives were shocked, but
the boss continued. "I am going to give each one of you a SEED today -
one very special SEED. I want you to plant the seed, water it, and come
back here one year from today with what you have grown from the seed
I have given you. I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the
one I choose will be the next CEO".

One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received
a seed. He went home and excitedly, told his wife the story. She helped
him get a pot, soil and compost and he planted the seed.

Everyday, he would water it and watch to see if it had grown. After
about three weeks, some of the other executives began to talk about
their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow. Jim kept
checking his seed, but nothing ever grew. Three weeks, four weeks, five
weeks went by, still nothing. By now, others were talking about their
plants, but Jim didn't have a plant and he felt like a failure. Six
months went by--still nothing in Jim's pot. He just knew he had killed
his seed. Everyone else had trees and tall plants, but he had nothing.
Jim didn't say anything to his colleagues, however. He just kept
watering and fertilizing the soil - He so wanted the seed to grow.

A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company
brought their plants to the CEO for inspection. Jim told his wife that
he wasn't going to take an empty pot. But she asked him to be honest
about what happened. Jim felt sick at his stomach, it was going to be
the most embarrassing moment of his life, but he knew his wife was
right. He took his empty pot to the board room. When Jim arrived, he was
amazed at the variety of plants grown by the other executives. They were
beautiful--in all shapes and sizes. Jim put his empty pot on the floor
and many of his colleagues laughed, a few felt sorry for him!

When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young
executives. Jim just tried to hide in the back. "My, what great plants,
trees, and flowers you have grown," said the CEO. "Today one of you will
be appointed the next CEO!" All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the
back of the room with his empty pot. He ordered the financial director
to bring him to the front. Jim was terrified. He thought, "The CEO knows
I'm a failure! Maybe he will have me fired!"

When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his
seed - Jim told him the story.

The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim, and
then announced to the young executives, "Behold your next Chief
Executive! His name is Jim!" Jim couldn't believe it. Jim couldn't even
grow his seed. How could he be the new CEO the others said? Then the CEO
said, "One year ago today, I gave everyone in this room a seed. I told
you to take the seed, plant it, water it, and bring it back to me today.
But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead - it was not possible
for them to grow. All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and
plants and flowers. When you found that the seed would not grow, you
substituted another seed for the one I gave you. Jim was the only one
with the courage and honesty to bring me a pot with my seed in it.
Therefore, he is the one who will be the new Chief Executive!"

In all application of magnetism to persons, you are urged to remember that your very first goal, always and preeminently, is an agreeable feeling within their minds. You should never try to induce a person to act your way until you have thoroughly established in him a good feeling toward yourself. This is the prime initial step. When such a condition has been secured, you are then ready for the magnetic assault and then only.

When you are dealing with other people, endeavoring magnetically to win them to your wish, you should summon the general magnetic feeling within yourself, will them to do as you desire, and at the same time think of them as already consenting and acting. Your inner condition should be perfectly calm, buoyant, hopeful, whatever the external means employed, your mind should be concentrated upon the thing desired, and its accomplishment should be thought of as now secured. The response of the person may be delayed, but this should not discourage you, for some minds do not take suggestions (those of your unspoken will are referred to) quickly, and they do not act instantly upon their own thought. It is invariably best to induce people to believe that they are acting on their personal impulse or judgment; they should be made to feel perfectly free, not at all coerced, and that they are doing their own will rather than yours simply because they wish so to do.

We may summarize all these suggestions in the words of a distinguished scientific writer:

"Life is not a bully who swaggers out into the open universe, upsetting the laws of energy in all directions, but rather a consummate strategist, who, sitting in his secret chamber over his wires, directs the movements of a great army." This is a good description of magnetism.

The success-magnetism assumption: We are now ready for the great assumption-principle of magnetism in applied life.

Think of every goal as already reached, of every undertaking as already achieved.

It is the natural right of every human being to be happy to escape all the miseries of life. Happiness is the normal condition, as natural as the landscapes and the seasons. It is unnatural to suffer and it is only because of our ignorance that we do suffer. Happiness is the product of wisdom. To attain perfect wisdom, to comprehend fully the purpose of life, to realize completely the relationship of human beings to each other, is to put an end to all suffering, to escape every ill and evil that afflicts us. Perfect wisdom is unshadowed joy.

Why do we suffer in life? Because in the scheme of nature we are being forced forward in evolution and we lack the spiritual illumination that alone can light the way and enable us to move safely among the obstacles that lie before us. Usually we do not even see or suspect the presence of trouble until it suddenly leaps upon us like a concealed tiger. One day our family circle is complete and happy. A week later death has come and gone and joy is replaced with agony. Today we have a friend. Tomorrow he will be an enemy and we do not know why. A little while ago we had wealth and all material luxuries. There was a sudden change and now we have only poverty and misery and yet we seek in vain for a reason why this should be. There was a time when we had health and strength; but they have both departed and no trace of a reason appears. Aside from these greater tragedies of life innumerable things of lesser consequence continually bring to us little miseries and minor heartaches. We most earnestly desire to avoid them but we never see them until they strike us, until in the darkness of our ignorance we blunder upon them. The thing we lack is the spiritual illumination that will enable us to look far and wide, finding the hidden causes of human suffering and revealing the method by which they may be avoided; and if we can but reach illumination the evolutionary journey can be made both comfortably and swiftly. It is as though we must pass through a long, dark room filled with furniture promiscuously scattered about. In the darkness our progress would be slow and painful and our bruises many. But if we could press a button that would turn on the electric light we could then make the same journey quickly and with perfect safety and comfort.

The old method of education was to store the mind with as many facts, or supposed facts, as could be accumulated and to give a certain exterior polish to the personality. The theory was that when a man was born he was a completed human being and that all that could be done for him was to load him up with information that would be used with more or less skill, according to the native ability he happened to be born with. The theosophical idea is that the physical man, and all that constitutes his life in the physical world, is but a very partial expression of the self; that in the ego of each there is practically unlimited power and wisdom; that these may be brought through into expression in the physical world as the physical body and its invisible counterparts, which together constitute the complex vehicle of the ego's manifestation, are evolved and adapted to the purpose; and that in exact proportion that conscious effort is given to such self-development will spiritual illumination be achieved and wisdom attained. Thus the light that leads to happiness is kindled from within and the evolutionary journey that all are making may be robbed of its suffering.

Why does death bring misery? Chiefly because it separates us from those we love. The only other reason why death brings grief or fear is  because we do not understand it and comprehend the part it plays in human evolution.  But the moment our ignorance gives way to comprehension such fear vanishes and a serene happiness takes its place.

What is diabetes?

Type 2 diabetes is a lifelong disease that develops when the pancreas cannot produce enough insulator when the body's tissues become resistant to insulin. Insulin is a hormone that helps the body’s cells use sugar (glucose) for energy. It also helps the body store extra sugar in muscle, fat, and liver cells.

How can you manage diabetes?

You play a major role in managing your diabetes. The most important thing is to control your blood sugar. To do this:

  • Eat a balanced diet. If you are overweight, reduce your calorie intake to lose some weight. Losing as little as 10 to 20 pounds can improve your blood sugar levels. There are many ways to manage how much and when you eat. Your doctor, a diabetes educator, or a dietitian can help you find a plan that works for you.
  • Exercise regularly. Get at least 30 minutes of exercise on most, preferably all, days of the week. Exercise helps control your blood sugar by using glucose for energy during and after activity. It also helps you stay at a healthy weight; lower high cholesterol, raise HDL, or "good," cholesterol; and lower high blood pressure.
  • Take your medicine or insulin as directed, if prescribed by your doctor.
  • Check your blood sugar levels regularly, as advised by your doctor.

The goal is to keep your blood sugar in a target range. You and your doctor may decide to keep your blood sugar as close to normal as possible. This is called tight control. It’s the best way to reduce your chance of having more problems from diabetes. These are called complications.

Taking care of your diabetes takes time and energy every day. But it will help you feel better and may prevent, or at least delay, complications.

How can you deal with high and low blood sugar?

Even when you are careful and do all the right things, you can have problems with high or low blood sugar. It is important to know what signs to look for and what to do if this happens.

High blood sugar (hyperglycemia) usually happens over a few days or weeks. Early symptoms include:

  • Feeling very thirsty.
  • Urinating more often than usual.
  • Feeling very hungry.
  • Having blurred vision.

People with diabetes can get high blood sugar for many reasons, including not taking their diabetes medicines, eating more than usual (especially sweets), not exercising, or being sick or under a lot of stress. If you have high blood sugar, follow your treatment plan for lowering it. This may mean taking missed doses of insulin or medicine. Call your doctor if you don\'t know what to do. Treating high blood sugar is important. If it is left untreated, it can lead to hyperosmolar state, a dangerous condition.

You can get low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) if you take insulin or a sulfonylurea pills for diabetes. It can happen suddenly. Early symptoms include:

  • Sweating.
  • Feeling weak.
  • Feeling shaky.
  • Feeling very hungry.

Symptoms of low blood sugar may vary over time. You may also have these symptoms if you have a sudden large drop in blood sugar, even though the level does not drop below the normal or near-normal range. Eat 1 tablespoon of sugar, ½ cup of orange juice, or another carbohydrate. Wait 15 minutes, and then check your blood sugar.

What are the complications of diabetes and their symptoms?

Over time, high blood sugar can cause complications such as problems with your eyes, heart, blood vessels, nerves, and kidneys. High blood sugar also makes you more likely to get serious illnesses or infections. Complications can lead to blindness, kidney failure, removal of a limb (amputation), heart attack, stroke, and death. This is why it is so important to keep your blood sugar in your target range.

If you had the disease several years before you were diagnosed, you may already have a complication from diabetes. Even if you don\'t have problems now, the longer you have diabetes, the more likely you are to get one or more complications.

Be sure to tell your doctor if you notice any new symptoms, such as chest pain, numbness, or a shooting pain in your hands or feet.

How can you prevent complications?

You may be able to prevent, or at least delay, problems from diabetes by keeping your blood sugar level as close to normal as you can. Treatment of high blood pressure or high cholesterol can also help. If you smoke, quit. Smoking increases your risk for complications.

If you are age 30 or older, talk to your doctor about whether to take a low-dose aspirin each day to help prevent heart attack, stroke, or other large blood vessel disease. People with diabetes are 2 to 4 times more likely than people who don\'t have diabetes to die from heart and blood vessel diseases.

See your doctor every 3 to 6 months. During these visits, your doctor will review your treatment and do tests and exams to see if your blood sugar is staying within your target range and if you have any complications. It’s also important to have regular checkups with your eye doctor and dentist. Diabetes can cause vision and dental problems.

Will your treatment change over time?

The goal of treatment is to always keep your blood sugar as close to your target range as you can. At first, you may be able to treat diabetes with diet and exercise alone. At some point, you may need to use insulin or take pills to control your diabetes.

You always need to:

  • Eat a balanced diet with enough calories to help you stay at a healthy weight. If you are overweight, reduce your calorie intake to lose some weight.
  • Get regular exercise.
  • Check your blood sugar regularly during the day, as advised by your doctor.
